Our Mission
We are dedicated to eradicating hunger in our area.
Over half of Dayton children live in poverty. In near neighborhoods, two out of every three children live in poverty. Because of these sobering realities, a 2016 report ranked Dayton the second hungriest city in the nation for families with children.
We provide meat, dairy, bread, non-perishable items, and (in the summer months) fresh produce. Through our partnership with East Dayton Christian Church, the Food Bank of Dayton, Schwebel’s Bakery, and the Dayton Phoenix Group, we serve individuals and families eligible for the Federal Emergency Food Assistant Program.
Our fully “client choice” model empowers food recipients to select items within each major food group that best fits their household’s unique needs.
More than food, we share encouragement, warmth, and community.
